Agents assigned with the Crimes Against Person (Homicide) section of the Liberia National Police (LNP) are investigating a one paged-note left by unknown persons at the Chrisetta Beauty Institute (CBI) on 9th Street in Sinkor.
The note, which threatens to kill the proprietress of the institute, Mrs. Christain Seyboe Tour and her entire family if she did not shut down the institution, was left behind when the unknown persons broke-in the facility on Thursday night, June 14, 2012.
Several plastic chairs were taken away along with a generator. Strangely, the thieves did not carry television sets and other valuables available at the institution.
Before now, a laptop containing vital information about the institution was stolen, Mrs. Tour says.
Though she would not directly point accusing fingers at anyone, Christain recalls that she has in recent times had constant confusion with her landlord, which many times resulted into similar threats and violence.
Eyewitnesses say they saw two men on the night of the break-in with pistols at the premises.
The situation has now created fear among students attending the institution; making them to stay away from lesson until such times when police have made progress in the investigation.
It has also caused many of them that are willing to attend not to because of the lack of chairs and electricity.
