-When Does Mob Violence Become SpidermanMob Justice?
While the police and the plethora of human rights agencies/advocates frown on mob violence, it seems Liberian communities have become addicted to what they popularly described as “mob justice.” The debate on nomenclature (Mob Violence rather than Mob Justice) has been won by law enforcers and rights advocates, the practice persist notwithstanding. As Samuka V. Konneh of Our Staff Reports, the fate of notorious Spiderman in his latest encounter with the victims he had gone to rewind was not only fatal but that the role of the police in the Saga left more questions than answers.

The House of Representatives has condemned as “perilous and unscrupulous” report carried in two media houses including the New Broom and the Catholic run Radio Veritas that members of the Legislature received little over US$960,000 to pass the Liberia Maritime Authority Act as independent corporate body. The Act contains that Maritime Authority would seek the transfer to its control the authority, powers, functions and assets vested in the Bureau of Maritime Affairs.
