llen Johnson-Sirleaf is--or was--widely expected to leave behind a clean political legacy that would reflect the professed beliefs and convictions for which she is well known and for which she tormented successive past political regimes. And her legacy’s chief indicator should have been expressed in the venerability of her confidantes and devotees, whose outputs and deeds needed to be virtuous and inspiring.
